I will be driving from Omaha to Mid-Ohio race course this weekend and then spending the next seven days watching race cars at the SCCA runoffs.

 

Can anyone list slot car tracks along the way and in the area of Mid-Ohio? I would like to visit a few.

Tom Thumb Hobbies in Columbus, OH, is about an hour or so south of the track. Home of an original King track and the R4.

Mark's Model World is in Canton, about one hour from Mid-Ohio.

Fastraxx in Fremont and HMS are about one hour northwest of Mid-Ohio.

What route are you taking though Illinois? I-80, 88 or farther south?

I-80 to Chicago then I-75 or I-90 to Mansfield OH.

Mid America (home of the 2016 ISRA Worlds) is less than 20 miles North of I-80 West of I-355 on Il rt 34..  Four lanes all of the way.
