Then you take the rest apart, clean everything up (especially the back of the magnets) and generally straighten stuff, epoxy the magnets back in after soldering-in a nice bearing to the can so it all looks nice...but unassuming like this:

Trust me...no one will ever know, and you can just say you did a really good job setting up the car and picking a gear ratio!
