Sure am glad that our dads liked slot cars back in the day. They made a lot possible for us. We were really lucky to have dads that were also slot car legends.

Although I never met your father, I feel as though I knew him. I know he was a fine man and that his absence will be felt by many people.

He was born on December 14, 1921, in Elizabeth, NJ, the son of the late Anthony and Caroline Gorski and lived in Raritan Township most of his life.
Mr. Gorski owned and operated Gorski Television and VCR Repair until his retirement. He was a radio control aircraft enthusiast and was known worldwide for his famous Gorski designed and built slot car controllers during the late 1960s and early '70s. He served in the US Army during World War II as a sergeant. He also was learning to fly Piper Cub planes. Upon returning to Hunterdon County after serving his country he built his own home in 1947 while working at Roller Bearing Co. of America as a machinist who also read and drew blueprints.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years Anna (Fandel) Gorski; and one son, John R. Gorski of Raritan Township, NJ. He was predeceased by his sister Margaret in 1971.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 11, 2008, at 10:30 AM in the Robert L. Ford Funeral Home, #38 Highway 31, Flemington, NJ. Interment will follow in St. Magdalen's Cemetery in Flemington.
Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, April 10, 2008 from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm until 9:00 PM and on Friday morning from 9:00 AM until time of service. Please visit www.fordfuneralhome.com for further information or to send condolences.
