Michael,

Are you still looking for a controller? What ohm?

If eBay shows 7:47, they won't show the seconds in the listing until there is less than 24 hours until final sale. You have to watch the listing and see the seconds tick down.

I never make a bid for something I really want until there's 10 seconds left.

To answer your question, "Should I take it in the shorts?"  Yes, because there's Parma controllers coming up for sale all the time.

Without a link to the auction itself, there is no way to tell exactly what happened.

If you can provide that, we may be able to help you.

It looks like  Michael didn't take in account the seconds.

Ended:
Nov 27, 2016 , 10:47AM

IOW, when they post when the auction ended, they don't bother with listing the seconds.

How many .How many times has this happened  I'm just a little fish. I appreciate y'all input from the bottom of my heart no way am I trying to stir up trouble . Look three bids got it under the wire  I'll keep doing the math   847  -847:06= 60

Simple explanation: In your video you say the end time was 07:47 PST.

Look at your picture above - the auction ended at 8:47:16 PST, not 7:47 PST.

Is it possible you forgot to retard your clocks for Daylight Savings Time ?

Also what MSwiss said - from the time the auction starts on a 7 day auction, it automatically adds exactly 7 days.

Example, auction placed at 10:10:16 on 1 Nov. will end at exactly 10:10:16 on 8 Nov but the listing will simply say "ends at 10:10 PST"

You don't seem to realize the bidding didn't end exactly at 8:47.

It ended at 8:47:XX.

Once it ended, they don't bother with listing the exact second it ended.

Look at this post.

http://slotblog.net/...ot-car-kit-132/

End Date: Tuesday Dec-6-2016 14:52:42 PST

it lists the exact second the auction ends.

It doesn't round up or down

Michael,

I know that many here don't like this idea or practice, but if you really want to win at auction on Ebay, you need to use the services of an auction bidding agent like GavelSnipe

It is the ONLY way to go.

Good luck for future bidding :)

Of course they do.

Why wouldn't they ?

They are all fancy computerized.

I bet they may even have one nicer than yours.

That's what we were trying to point out to you.

Do you understand now that the auction didn't end at 8:47:00 ?

Here's what happened:

-you either forgot to retard your clocks one hour at the time change on the first Sunday of this month, or somehow were confused of the ending time. In your video you state bidding ended at 0747. It didn't. It ended at 0847. That's not a few seconds - it's a hour.

-due to the fact you didn't know what time it was and what time the auction ended, you mistakenly think eBay had a "glitch". I see a glitch in your video - it's backwards.

You got sniped fair and square by somebody who was paying attention. Happens to me all the time with rare vintage parts, but it's part of the deal. Somebody simply wanted it more than you did.

The controller you bid on is available - pay a few more bucks and get one from a trusted slot car source, like Chicagoland Raceway.

Any more questions or comments, feel free to send me a PM.

Pablo
