Northeast Ohio has lost an a good guy, great slot car racer, and friend.
Age 60 of Ashtabula passed away on Sunday (Oct. 2) at the David Simpson Hospice House in Euclid after a courageous and fearlessly battling cancer for the last 3 years. He was born September 20, 1956 in Mentor, Ohio the son of Vincent and Marilyn (Detrich) Peskar. Surviving him are his father, Vincent (Carolyn) Peskar of Morgantown, WV.; his wife, Nancy (Myatt) Peskar; a daughter, Katie Peskar of Ashtabula; a son, Michael V. Peskar of Ashtabula; his grandson, Macsen V. Peskar who was the joy of his life; his siblings, David (Wendy) Peskar of Austinbur, Sue (Mike) Kortan of North Royalton, Stephen (Kim) Peskar of Georgia, Cheryl (Eldon) Lyons of Morgantown, WV., Matt (Susan) Peskar of Morgantown, WV.; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother and by a brother, Timothy Zemla. A memorial service will be Wednesday (Oct. 5) at 7 p.m. at THE ASHTABULA HOME OF FLEMING & BILLMAN FUNERAL DIRECTORS, 526 W. PROSPECT RD., ASHTABULA with Rev. Father Raymond Thomas of Our Lady of Peace Church officiating. CALLING HOURS WILL BE WEDNESDAY FROM 4 P.M. UNTIL THE TIME OF SERVICE AT THE FUNERAL HOME.
