I bought a used frame on eBay. I know I need a pinion and a crown gear, axle (3/32") and wheels.

But I need some pictures of how you set up the spacers, what type of spacers are used, and where to buy them.

Thanks for any input.

If you posted a picture it would help.

The width of the bracket and whether or not it has an axle tube, will have a bearing on what you need.

Or if you brought the chassis by some evening to the raceway, I have everything and could help you out.

Right there is an awesome option, take it to the track, Mike will get it sorted and show you how to set it all, and you can try it out when you're done.

Agreed!

David, it would take hundreds of words to explain what Mike or another experienced racer can show you in three minutes. Setting the gear mesh is best done by feel and that's hard to explain in words.

And you're going to need to go to a track to get the spacers (unless you want to pay more in shipping than the spacers themselves cost). Most everyone here has the opinion that you should buy as much as possible from your local track, if you expect him be able to provide a place for you to run your car and race it.

Never forget that first place goes to the racer with the MOST laps, not the racer with the FASTEST lap

David, you are fortunate to live about 20 miles from one of the best slot car raceways in the entire world:

Thanks for the props, Pablo.

Along with mailing him various Retro items, David and I have PM'd, and determined it would be more convenient for him to get help from Mid-America, which is about 15 minutes closer to his house.
