We'll be going with Oct. 6-8, with a minor benefit, Oct. 9 being Columbus Day.
Schedule will probably stay the same as the past two years, with the exception of possibly dropping Can-Am+, for RetroPro and going with split classes for F1 and Can-Am, like what was done at Sano 7.
Possibly "Ohio style," if enough interest.

What are "split classes"?
Proud to drive an American car, from an American manufacturer, assembled by American workers.
I own a car from each of the big three: I have a Ford, a Mercury, and a Lincoln.

What are "split classes"?
Like GTC Coupe, across the board.
Only guys on the list run Pro.
Hand-out And non-hand-out motors.
Possibly hand-outs continuing in "Amateur" F1 and Can-Am.
Unless something unforeseen happens, use your own motor in F1 and Can-Am Pro.
Both GTC classes will be hand-outs.
Both Fiedler Flat track races will be use your own motor.

If you run a Pro class in F1 and Can-Am would the top three in the Am class get on "the list"?

No. It didn't last time.
FWIW, in GTC-FK (Am), only the winner is put on the list.
Edit: if I did it again at Sano 12, the winners of F1 and Can-Am, would have to run Pro.

Only when it is one whole race with everyone. Then the podium finishers in F1 and CA, if not already there, go on the list.
For GTC-FK it is the winner.

Thanks, Joe.
When I was answering Eric's question, I was thinking about it only in the context of how the move-ups work in GTC.

I don't get to race like I used to with my work schedule at O'Hare.
Annual Sano is like Christmas to me! Feel like I did when I was a kid and we got slot car stuff for Christmas
So good to see the 2017 event dates. And; see you for the Superstock 1000 in a few weeks too; Mike!

Good for them, but I have a question.
Do you not like us that you need to be forced?

Mike how far are you from O'hare ? And any hotel recommendations?
Google Maps show 20 minutes, but that must be with perfect traffic.
25-35 minutes seems a bit more realistic.
If you are not a Priceline person, Red Roof Inn, in Downers Grove, about 10-12 minutes away, is a good choice.
This PLACE will most likely be the place to be for the Sano.
I doubt it.
While maybe cool, too far away and having to deal with Downtown traffic, and $25 parking, it doesn't make a lot of sense.
I think Rowdy and Matt are forcing me to attend LOL.
Terrific.
Someone has to make sure Rowdy hooks up for his races, with a network, in his Difalco. LOL.

Mike,
A couple of questions re the possible changes.
1) Why the changes?
2) Will the Am races be one and done? Will the pros be move-ups?
3) Why introduce a diff motor than RH into RetroPro?
Thanks.

He's referring to anglewinder instead of Can-Am Plus. Ohio style means the way the ORS runs them with Pro Slot FK motors instead of the typical faster motors of anglewinder.
