I have some drivers I want to paint in the exact original Cox colors. I have gone through every blue I have here including some that are 50 years old. Just can't come up with a match. I think it's more of a blue/green but that just may be that the color has turned after all this time and may not be able to be matched.

Anybody try this yet?

Joe,

I have used the Testor enamel in bottles and mixed white with the blue to lighten it up. You could get 100% correct if you experiment long enough.

Make a simple mix of medium blue and some white, and brush on...   :)

Yes, I thought along the same lines a tried that very thing. Nothing "floated my boat."

I'll guess I'll just wing it with a mix.

I thought they may have used Pactra or Testors which I tried but I believe Cox did everything in house right down to the boxes and decals. Probably had their own proprietary "blue."
