Not sure if these have been posted before, but I have a small handful of these in my possession.

A few quick pics;

Here's a few more quick pics I took last night.

It's fun seeing stuff from this early on , with references and articles, from early legends, like Gene Hustings and Pete Hagenbuch, and touting things like a track with brakes. (Yes, I said Brakes-lol)

Cool, I never saw those before.

Seriously cool bodies available for the padlock dragsters. :D Would love some of those.

I don't recall that anyone used those SS bodies. They were heavier than a model kit body. I don't think they covered a DC85 or Ram 857 completely. I, and everyone I raced with, used model kit bodies cut to fit over the motor. We then used the model kit engine, cut down so that only the heads and intake remained, to meet the rules for open framed chassis.

Full bodied unlimited cars did not have to have a scale body, so we just used sheet magnesium to cover the area between the rails.

I love this era.

Even Mark Mattei didn't seem to recall, (offhand), the interesting chassis parts from E.E. Crane.

I'm guessing he just didn't recall the fairly generic name, since the stuff made it to the 1966 Auto World Catalog.

Dave, I am currently restoring a Lotus Elite body by Scuderia Scale and I would strongly disagree about the weight, as these thin white styrene bodies are far lighter than just about any 1/24 or 1/25 model kit body I know of...
