Blair,

Full names are required in race results posted at Slotblog. I won't delete this one, but any similar future race results will disappear promptly.

Official Slotblog policy regarding race reports

It's respect for the racers' accomplishments. Not ID'ing them fully is an insult to them IMO.

Which track are you racing on and what are the rules?

King track. Group F racing. Any Group 12 chassis, any body, Pro Slot 4002FK, springs and brushes can be changed, and any gear ratio.

Greg, I don't understand about full names being required in race reports or they will be deleted.

I am not singling out any one in particular. I looked up a Retro East report and see in the racer list the following: Noose, Johnny vw, Jersey john. how is this OK but not Blairs' report showing first names or first names and first letter of last name?

So if we all adopt a nickname for race reports is that OK? if, example, Rick Smith is shown as Rapid Rick, that's OK?

Brian,

Did you read the thread at the link given in my post #2. If not, please do. It explains my position on this subject in great detail.

Full names in race reports has been the policy at Slotblog since 2009.

Further, the initial post in this thread is of very limited interest to the general membership. It really is only of interest to the dozen or so people who were at the race or perhaps a few other T&L racers who happen to know who Red or Jay are. What good is a podium shot without identifying the racers shown?

Noose's Retro East reports always contain the racers' full names somewhere in the text, just not at every location.

I'll have full names for the rest of the reports.

No problem, Scott.

If attendance keeps rising, good things are going to come. The Altech may be restored soon.
