Chris,

I've looked at it but, no, I didn't figure it out. You'll have to show an "action" photo for me to see the fulcrum working.

The rear part of the chassis pivots.the motor lifts up on arm.pivots the center of the chassis and pushes the guide into the track. The side pans are also mounted to the motor mount. so they lift the body.car seems planted. and only 106 grams

This is sort of cool. This chassis,is still new in the bag, hand built by the Great Craig Landry, built in 1993,its a copy of his Blue King World record car 1.85 at the 93 Nats. Its a custom order Wire/Steel chassis. On this chassis Craig ran the wire all the way to the motor box,and hand ground all the steel rail down.VERY FAST and light for its day.We ordered 2 of them at $200 each,,,,but with that you could call Craig and he would tell you how to set it up,,,mount the body,,all the tricks...Im sure Rudy knows more about them. The bag sez #107P.............Craig was a nice guy,,and a great slotcar racer...OK I just wanted to share this with you guys.....Thanks Don

Don, are you the same Don Campbell who used to make the Don Campbell Bodies? If so, I still have a couple of your T-birds & Monte Carlos. :)

Not another Jail Door, yep.

My latest JD built for Oscar Morales. Overall length 4-3/4", 3-7/8" wheel base, 7/8" guide lead with a Warmack motor bracket and drop arm pieces.

OK, here's my first scratchbuilt anglewinder in 36 years. I guess it's going to be somewhat Retro-Pro-ish, although I'm leaning towards a GT1/LMP body for the more scale look. Nothing new, just floppy pans and plumber. I need some parts to build it up into a runner. Once I've put the first laps on it, I'll post an update.

Finally motivated to finish my F1... inspired by Mike Patterson's "samson" chassis.... there is no middle weight in it, as i'm going to be testing it out this weekend on a Gerding.... If all checks out, i'll add the middle weight, and do a final clean up! This is my 5th build total, but first "scratch" build minus the guide tongue and rear bracket....

Modified Samurai Kit. I have to have the worst digital camera on the planet! This chassis shines like a new penny in real time and looks all dull in the pic? Oh well, here it is...

This is the first time I have seen the floating pieces in the center of an anglewinder, Have seen them on F1s but not on big chassis. How well do the chassis work?

Here is my first scratchbuild..please try not to laugh too much...

I finished this a few weeks ago, but wanted to try it out.
This chassis is based on Mike Steube's BPR "flat track" car,
with some minor changes.

0.055 main rails, R-GEO drop arm style guide tongue,
JK hypoid bracket, 0.032 pans

It seems to work pretty well on the hillclimb tracks around here.
