Well it's been a busy month for me. First up is a new F-1 for me that I started at the beginning of the summer and finally finished.
6 rails of .047 unsoldered in the middle.
Tuning fork is also .047
Nose is .032
Pan's and center weight are .064
CR motor bracket and modified horse shoe plate
15/16" GL, 4" WB
Weighing in at 109 grams
Next up is another F-1 for my daughter build out of a R-Geo Victory 2 kit
.078 main rails
1" GL, 4" WB
Weighs in at 110 grams
Last one for today is set up for Coupe for my daughter out of a FSF kit.
.078 main rails
1" GL, 4" WB
This one weighed in at 116 grams
A motor is only as fast as the chassis it's in.

Kevin,
Looks Nice!
Question, are the short boxes in the center soldered together and soldered to the rails?
Posted 23 September 2014 - 11:00 PM
Bob, they are soldered together and will slide the length of the tuning fork rails for adjustment. I hit them a couple times with a center punch to create a bit of friction to keep in them place. My latest Samson F1 chassis from Dennis has this feature.

Good Idea !
Thanks for explaining this ...

This is 1 of 3 similar JK chassis I ran all of last year. You will notice the flexi chassis influence in my build, pan is removeable to allow straightening of center section and pan.

Damn, that's clever!
Posted 24 September 2014 - 07:09 PM
Great idea Kev!
I like it. How'd that one work?
Posted 24 September 2014 - 08:31 PM
Thanks guys.
Dave, I used it in the Coupe a-main at the Sano last year. Obviously I've not had much opportunity to run it since.
Just doing a little clean up in the tumbler before the Sano and playing with the new phone and posting a few pictures which I could never do before.

Just don't wreck and you won't need to fix it LOL

Cap, some of us are mere mortals and we often test the boundries of durability!

A couple years ago, a local Texan named John Myers did something similar. He used a similar method to enable changing the pans for testing(lighter pans vs. heavier pans).

That KVP is a clever guy all right!

A rarity having 4 customer chassis/runners here and ready to ship at one time.
2 versions of the GVP/RGEO tuning fork and 1 Hanada 4 railer. All built using my custom made "Zero" 1"x .050" motor brackets.
A Retro Pro and a CA+ Speed Bowl chassis or two are next across the building bench.

2nd race with my light weight chassis, now comes in at 76 grams - won the race, equalled the lap record total, broke the race lap record, and set a new high heat record. So it is coming along well the bit of weight on the nose made a difference, need to get it better on black and purple. Although second place put up a great fight - caught the car 25 seconds from the end.
