Fellas,

The next meeting of the C.A.R.S. Vintage Slot Car Club will be on FEBRUARY 2, 2017 7:30 PM at THE RACE PLACE in Farmingdale New Jersey.

We may have a special guest and we may also see the debut of a brand new/old slot car OR two...  :shok: :shok:

Folks,

A good turnout last night for the C.A.R.S. group including a couple of first time guests. Mickey came by and brought along a bevy of 1/32 GP cars from various eras and makers.

Rodney gave us a glimpse of his GP car in 1/24 scale, that's still under construction.  He also brought along a surprise, a 1/48 scale 1957 Chevrolet Belair by AURORA !  This is the first time that one of these smaller beauties has shown up at the C.A.R.S. Club meeting and everyone was talking about it. It does open an entire new avenue for the group and it could lead to some very interesting slot cars being presented at future meetings, let's keep our fingers crossed.

Steve brought along his collection of hard bodied cars that will be expanding to include a couple of newer additions. They're not quite complete so we'll show them next time, see if you can spot them.

Here's Rodney's smaller scale 1957 Chevy Belair. It looks familiar as it is a larger version of the AURORA T-Jet cars that were so popular "back in the day".

More fuzzy pics, as soon as the club's budget allows, we'll hire a professional photographer !!!!

RE: The museum on Thursday, do you have an address that I can punch into my GPS?  I think my Uncle may meet me there, shooting for 1pm.

Pete,

Thanks for the heads-up that the museum will be closed tomorrow.

Here's a pic of the gremlin body:

Do you have an extra womp chassis you could sell to me?  I searched my stuff and I think I am essentially, Womp-less.

Would be cool to get a few of these running around!
