Not the best quality film, but still worth watching. Course looks more like regular roads than a dedicated racecourse.

The race at Berne was on regular roads at this time.


Just the same, until the '60s the same paving methods that were used to pave roadways was used to pave permanent racetracks. Since then more attention has been given to drainage, near track obstacles, and spectator access.
