Quite a machine. Some years ago when Bob organised an impromtu reunion at the July R/A historics, I had a chance to pour over it in the McKee tent.

The owner ran it in the exhibition class because the car has only wheel braking; there is no engine braking with the turbine, and the driving style is so different from other race cars he was afraid it might be a bit of a rolling chicane.

Bob has been such an innovator of the mechanicals in Can-Am, F5000, and other big bore series. He doesn't get anywhere near the recognition he should get.

Yes, I believe that is correct.

I read somewhere that Bob McKee had a policy, that if Colin Chapman used a certain size bolt to affix a part, he would use the next larger size.

I have known Bob for quite a while since he lives nearby. I don't know if he ever used what someone else was doing

as a guide for what he did.

One thing I know, his T10-modified-into-a-transaxle was the only choice for guys trying to put an American V-8 into a mid-engined car until the Hewland came along.
