The SCRRA gets back to the normal monthly racing schedule this Saturday with F1 and Can Am on the Flat track. F1 will start with the usual tech at 10 AM followed by lunch and Can Am. The little change here is that Mill has organized a Hardbody Sports Car race on the Flat track to be run shortly after the conclusion of Can Am. Hardbody 3C cars will be legal along with the Sports Car class and it looks like we could have 8-10 racers!  See you there!

I'm building a hardbody Chappy 2D, it is my first real scratchbuild... so it will take a while, but I will get it on the track soon enough.

Another strong turnout for the BPR monthly Flat track races!  In F1 Dale Yamashita added his name to the winners circle again with a great run in F1!  Congrats Dale!  2nd Place went to Rick Linn with Gary Donahoe 3rd.

Can Am saw another barnburner and another photo finish with Bryan Warmack just nipping Mark MacVittie by a FOOT when the power went off! Great race Mark!

Jerry Johnson ran a close 3rd.

In the Hardbody Sportscar race that rounded out the day, Jerry Johnson ran his Hardbody McLaren to victory over the Porsche 917's of Jay Henry and Mark MacVittie!

More to follow with pics in the race report up shortly..........

Hey Bryan, thanks for the update.  I wish I could take credit for 3rd in the F1 race but Jerry Johnson passed me as the power went off, I missed it by about a foot.  Very close racing all day long.

Had another fun day on the flat track. Had good cars in both classes, but, like I've said before, a lot of fast and determined racers out there. Didn't matter, still had fun. Thank you to Gary Donahoe and Sam Rackman for some needed pit help. Thanks guys. And thanks Bryan for the work you put into these races.

I had a fun time racing with the SCRRA gang after a long break. Thanks to Gary Donahoe who scrambled to put a Kamo car together for me just before the race. It was good enough for me to qualify 3rd. I came off only twice, and thought I was driving a good race, but still only finished 7th. What a tough group of racers!

Eddie, I'm very happy that my Kamo car worked well and that you had fun.  You did an excellent job of driving!

Out of respect for Paul Sterret, I'll post the race report in a day or so.  :)
