Remarkable service from Steen

I was recently asked to look at a controller, a Carsteen CS3. After getting into it I discovered a burnt-up resistor.
I got in touch with Steen and sent him a photo. Upon me getting further into the controller I saw the board had copper strips burnt. When I informed Steen he said to ship it to him he will replace the board free of charge even though it was clear the operator toasted it, not a controller malfunction. Steen repaired it and shipped it out the day after recieving it.
Thank you, Steen. Great service from a great guy.
Regards,
JJ

Where can you buy his controllers from?

I'd be curious to know how long it actually took from the time you sent it out until you got it back and what the shipping charges were?

Shipping back and forth came to about $75. He got it six days after I shipped it to Denmark via First Class International Parcel.

Same with his LapMaster program. Never had to wait more than a few hours to get an answer. I believe he is in Denmark seven time zones away from me.
Mark,
You've confused two members in Denmark, as I actually did recently myself.
The Carsteen controller maker is Steen Michaelsen, who is in Denamrk but I do not no where exactly. His Slotblog display name is smichslot.
The LapMaster timing and scoring system maven is Carsten Grønnemann who resides in Copenhagen. His Slotblog display name is SlotCarsten.
Here's what Carsten told me via PM when I confused the two of them:
"Steen and I created the CarSteen controllers together, but nowadays, for practical reasons, it is entirely run by Steen while I handle the LapMaster product on my own."
All clear now?

Let me just say that Carsten G., and I live approximately six miles (10 km) from each other, 25-35 km north of Copenhagen. We meet frequently, and sometimes race against each other.
We have a lot of things to share.

Maybe therefore their service is so remarkable.

Now we are, hmm, lets say gentlemen with a lot of experience, but we both still love slot cars.
There where a period of 30 years in between where we each went our way in our lives, but then fate had it that slot cars brough us back together. It was like we had only been separated for a week.
It is also Steen who have taught me that the most important thing is to delight our customers. That is equally true in big business or in a small hobby venture. That is how we want to run it.

What's the address for Carsteen? Mine hasn't worked right since I bought it. Others have looked at it, but can't figure it out.
I've tried messaging Steen, but haven't heard back.

PM me, I might be able to help you diagnose it.
