Once again I will be running the tech inspection at the SERRA race at CMS. My intention is help you in any way I can to pass tech and participate in an enjoyable day of racing. If you would like clarification on a rule or specification send me a PM or look me up at the track. I will be at the track as much as I can before and during the event.
The decision has been made to enforce the IRRA rules.
I did not make the rules and I cannot change them.
The point of concern as I see it is the body thickness requirements.
When you present your car for the race the first thing I will check is the thickness of the upper surface of the body. If it is thin the body will not pass tech and cannot be taped to pass. The car fails tech.
After the upper surface passes tech I will check the sides of the body and may require you to add tape the full width from wheel well to wheel well all the way up the side of the body in order to pass for side thickness.
Once the body passes thickness requirements I will then check the remainder of the car.
