Tamiya PC (polycarbonate) but no longer available that I know of.

You can try this stuff. Colors are limited though.

Tamiya is still available. I carry every color (around 60) in stock.

Duratrax is really nice. I have been using been using it for about eight months now.

All the colors I have tried so far come out of the can with an even spread and cover well.

Will this work on slot car Lexan bodies and not flake off?

Dura Trax works but some colors do flake off. I used their bottles for painting but stopped about a year ago. The odor was as bad as the Pactra R/C lacquers.

I have painted several with the Duratrax spray and all but one were/are fine. The body it flaked off of had a rubbery feel to the material. I don't know what it was but I don"t think it was Lexan.

The Duratrax orange comes off. I had to stop using it.

The last Tamiya I got did the same.

I used Pactra PC rattle cans until they stopped producing it. It never flaked off and looked good.

I was reluctant to try Tamiya PC but after I did I was really impressed by the quality and durability of their paints. Some high end colors go for as much as $14 a can but the results are stunning.

Pactra is producing their PC paint line again but I will stick with Tamiya for the quality and consistency.

I think the proper Tamiya paints are the PS range for lexan. That's what I use and no flaking.

Even though they are no longer produced, Pactra is still readily available. Mid-America has all the colors on eBay.

Pactra is producing their PC paint line again...

Where did you hear or read that?

Pactra started producing Lexan paint again at the first of 2016.  Pacific Slot Car Raceways in Edgewood, WA had a full display of colors at the USRA Nationals in April of 2016.

The color choices are not as large as before and the label has changed, color and layout.  So anything out there with the silver label is getting pretty old.

Lately I have used some of the Testor/Model Master lacquers. Much smoother spray than the Tamiya or Duratrax. No issues with flaking with any of them.
