I have been developing this for a while now and it is finally ready to roll out.
Introducing the first perimeter F1 kit. Standard build is with double rails of .062" and 1.365" motor bracket which give the car similar flex to a traditional eight-rail, .047" chassis with a 3/4" bracket. With the shaker pan inside the rails and behind the nose you won't have to worry about a crash that may result if the nose of the pan getting bent and dragging on the track. The result is a more robust chassis.
All pieces are CNC machined from .064" half hard brass. The kit can be shortened to a 4" wheelbase by trimming the rear of the pans by 1/16". Suggested retail price for the kits is $65 with discounts available to raceways.
Chassis completed with rear bearings and front axle installed comes in at 52.7 grams. I have found that adding 3-4 grams of weight just ahead of the motor really makes this hook up on our flatter style New England tracks. Please note that if you choose to run a Parma BRM the pan movement will be restricted due to the way the body flairs in towards the rear and rubs against the motor bracket.
