I have been developing this for a while now and it is finally ready to roll out.

Introducing the first perimeter F1 kit. Standard build is with double rails of .062" and 1.365" motor bracket which give the car similar flex to a traditional eight-rail, .047" chassis with a 3/4" bracket. With the shaker pan inside the rails and behind the nose you won't have to worry about a crash that may result if the nose of the pan getting bent and dragging on the track. The result is a more robust chassis.

All pieces are CNC machined from .064" half hard brass. The kit can be shortened to a 4" wheelbase by trimming the rear of the pans by 1/16". Suggested retail price for the kits is $65 with discounts available to raceways.

Chassis completed with rear bearings and front axle installed comes in at 52.7 grams. I have found that adding 3-4 grams of weight just ahead of the motor really makes this hook up on our flatter style New England tracks. Please note that if you choose to run a Parma BRM the pan movement will be restricted due to the way the body flairs in towards the rear and rubs against the motor bracket.

Very unique design!

I like like the way your kits avoid any tricky wire bending. :good:

Cheers

Thanks for the compliments everyone. F1 i think can be really challenging for some with building and avoiding wrecks. When I made this kit I wanted to make sure the build would be simple and durable. Both goals were achieved :)

Thanks Larry.

Hi Nate, I'm sure they would sell at the R4. I had two cars going out there with guys from New England but with the blizzard setting in plans got canceled.

Here's a tutorial on how I assemble the chassis.  Again nothing surprising here for the experienced builder but anyone new to building might find it helpful.

I received my kit today. It's the nicest F1 kit I've seen and look forward to building it and trying it out.

Congrats to Vinny Cafazzo for making the A-main at NERR this weekend and finishing 4th with FANG. I snagged 3rd place. Peter Lentros made the move up from the C-main also using a FANG. Both Vinny and Peter used race ready built cars by me.

I'm building mine now--very nice precision parts!  I'm considering using an outer brass .062 rail instead of two piano wire.  Have you tried this yet? I'm thinking a little more bite for our MTT Flat track.  It would be relatively easy to change out if it's too much.  Should be able to run some hot laps with it mid next week.

Congrats to Josh Crutchfield on finishing 2nd at ORS Series race at Tri-State Slotcar Raceway yesterday on their G11 king. Josh was only 1 lap out of first!

Josh ran 325 laps. Judging from only the too 3 qualifiers looks like Josh was around mid 4.2. The ORS results are here.

The car ran really well for first time out. I think josh was 4.2's as hot lap in some or all lanes. Track came around and got really bitey by the time we ran. it was a good show down run for sure
