I have received some feedback about the steel guide tongue being too soft in some cases.  So I went ahead and made some new ones from 1095 spring steel.  These are .032 thick and are the same shape as the steel, just with no chauffeuring. These are also .4 grams lighter so you may need to add a little weight to the front of the Fang.  The blueing may come off when soldering depending on the type of flux you use.

I am offering free replacements for anyone who purchased a kit who would like one.   I am also offering to replace any guide tongues on the Stalker and Fang chassis I have built for anyone.  Please send me the chassis only (no wheels, motor, guide, etc...) and I will install a new one free of charge.   Please message me here to get your replacement.

Nice touch Dominic! The chassis that Cap talks about building above was for me. Very cool kit and good handling car, my only complaint was the guide being so soft. If you would kindly send me one of the harder guides I'd really appreciate it. I'll PM you my address. Again.. Awesome to see you stand behind your product in this way. Thanks!

Thanks Frankie and my apologies once again for the soft tongue. I'll have a new in the mail today for you.

Dom:

I have a customer who would like one of these chassis.  Please advise as to pricing and how to order as they apparently not available through ERI or Eagle.

Thanks,

Just finshed mine.  I really like it.  Any chance future additions could have an elongated slot rather than a hole for the front axle?  I had a heck of a time getting the nose down to minimum IRRA front clearance.  Other than that, this thing is hard to mess up, even for me.

Hi John,

Yes I will be making the front axle slotted to allow for different size jig wheels on the next run.

Thanks for the reply Dom.  And congratulations on your chassis.  It is amazingly well designed and made.  Everything about it is so precise and perfect.

Just file the hole a smidge. A 3/32" chain saw file works great.

Congratulations to Josh Crutchfield for taking 2nd with a Crutchfield built FANG this weekend at the ORS KOR series race at Tri-State Raceway in Ohio on their Gerding king (G11).

Thanks also to John Good and Bob Fulmer for choosing to run the FANG this weekend. John built his from a kit and qualified into the A-Main.

New update to the FANG. After listening to suggestions I slotted the front axle opening to allow for different size jig wheels. From the original position, the hole moved down .010" and up .015" creating .025" of movement. All chassis kits shipped going forward will have the new design.

The FANG with the steel/brass rail combo worked awesome yesterday at the Retro East series race at Hudson Valley Raceway on their flatter style King track. Qualified 6th, had the 2nd fastest race lap, and finished 2nd in the main against a field of mostly 8 rail cars (.047 wire and 3/4" motor bracket). Car ran at 111 grams using the Parma M7 body, med thunder rears, Cyr front wheels, Chicago Land threaded pinned Redfox guide, 15/16" guide lead, and 4-1/16" wheel base.

Some updates to the FANG.  The nose has gussets added to help strengthen the nose.  Some material was removed next to the uprights to keep the weight the same.  The slots in the pan were opened up a little for a new look.  The weight is virtually identical to the original design.  The pan stop and pin tubing channels have been changed from "V" to round channels to better cradle the wire and tubing.  The motor bracket has remained the same.

In F1 I qualified 2nd and took the win with the FANG. Ralph Griffin ran one of my back up FANG to finish 6th in the A-main. Woody Hazelwood ran a Dominator built FANG in the A-main to take 7th. Thanks to Don Hall, Chris "CD" Davis, Eric Linsley, and Peter Lentros for choosing to run their FANG's yesterday. See everyone at Rapids in a couple of weeks.

Congrats to Vinny Cafazzo for taking the F1 win at NERR this weekend in F1 at Rapid Raceway in Plainville, CT. Vinny ran the scratchbuilt version of the FANG to clinch the F1 championship. Vinny ran the FANG and a Dominator built R-geo Shark 8-rail with a removable/adjustable center weight to podium in all 4 races this season. Thank you Vinny for helping to put the FANG on top. At least one FANG placed on every A-main podium this season in NERR.

Congrats to Collin Martin for taking 3rd in F1 using one of my back up FANGS. Collin lead the race from the start to finish just 1.5 laps behind Vinny.

Congrats David Panich for taking 2nd in the F1 B-main to move up to the A-main with a personal built FANG.

NEW West Coast FANG!

This one has a center pan that is 4.2 grams lighter than the original. All pieces are cut on a CNC for precision and ease of building. This will make the ready to race weight come in around 94 grams depending on components used. Kits available now for $65 plus shipping.

Thanks to Jason Holmes for helping with testing.

Due to the increase of brass the price of kits will be going up $2 to $67.  The pricing for brass sheets went up in the spring and I was hoping for it to come back down but that didnt happen.

Please stay tuned for new chassis designs coming out soon.  I would like to thank everyone who has purchased my kits, built chassis, and ready to run cars so far this year. The racing season is about to take off and I look forward to hearing about individual successes with Dominator Chassis. Please feel free to share your success and builds on my Dominator Custom Chassis Facebook page.  Thank you for your support.

The FANG goes 1-2 at the NERR series race held at Modelville Hobby yesterday.  I took the win with Woody Hazelwood winning the B-main to take 2nd in the A-main. Thanks to Ralph Griffin (4th in the A-main), Eric Linsley, Dave Gesner, Bob Creighton, Gil Aubin, Wayne Secore, and Ray Lee (also in the A-main) for choosing to run their FANGS.

In F1 the 11 of the 28 racers ran the FANG. The FANG placed on the podium in all 3 of the 4 mains. Congrats to Chris Davis winning the D-main with the FANG. Chris Childs took the win and David Panich 2nd in the C-main. Gavin Seeley, Dan Wiegand, and Woody Hazelwood went 1-2-3 in the B-main. I qualified 2nd grabbed 4th in the A-main.

Thanks to everyone who ran a Dominator Chassis this week.

For those of you not following my facebook page I should have a combination of about 70 kits consisting of Jackal Pro's, Stalkers, and FANG's.  I will be working quickly to get all back orders caught up.
