I tried the search function but didn't find help on this so I'm asking for help.

A few days ago I changed my profile picture on Facebook. Now a couple days later it has become my profile picture here. I would prefer to keep my picture here the same as it was.

I log in Slotblog using my Facebook credentials because I'm lazy and too old to remember multiple passwords.

Any ideas out there?

Richard,

You can replace the new pic with your old pic in your Settings menu.

Honestly, I don't know whether IP.Board will pick up your Facebook profile pic again, but if it does, I have a workaround we can use.

Replace the new unintended pic with your old image and let me know what happens.

Good idea.

No need for unwanted attention from Slotblog female groupies.

That seems to have worked.

Will hide and watch for now.

Thanks.

Mike,

I didn't think the old pic was that bad, but I decided to use a better (to my eyes) picture. It's cropped from the pic Shontel posted when I TQed Retro Pro at the Texas Two Step in November. I was actually grinning for a change.

I spent my misspent youth waiting for the slot car groupies to find me. That didn't work out. I had to bring my own!

Current pics are more likely to be used to scare away rats.

Just noticed, there's a drop down next to member name in the heading bar next to sign in/out. In that drop down there's a "Facebook" check box.

I don't want to experiment since getting the picture the way I want it, but could that be the source of my earlier issue?

Possibly. Is/was it checked?

I tried it, it seems to have something to do with posting comments to FB.

It did not influence the profile picture.

I'll watch and see what happens and report if this issue comes up again.

I spent my misspent youth waiting for the slot car groupies to find me.

"Diamond" Jim Evans was a local racer who was already traveling to Michigan to race G7 open cars about 10 days after first rediscovering slot cars, at Jerry Kulich's Grand Raceway in Broadview.

The first time I met him, was at that Midwest USRA points race at Ray Birmele's Fantom Raceway.

His first question, for me, before any technical ones, was "Are there any slot car groupies?"

When I gave him the bad news, his comment was:

"Slot racing will never be big time until there are some." LOL.

Well, the one I recruited got real unhappy when we went to New Braunfells near San Antonio and found out she was going to spend the entire weekend in a slot car pit.

I refer to GM which was in an old dilapidated building (they called it The Barn).

I think her primary consolation was that she was a Psych major and probably was getting lots of source material for term papers.

Sorry for the thread drift. I'll shut up now.

Big difference between girls that are paid to be there vs. wanting to be there.

Makes watching a NASCAR race more tolerable these days.

I'm reminded of the "trophy girls" at the Coke race.

Two random girls in curlers who just happened to be walking by when pictures were being taken of Monty and the $1,000 check.

OK, that's my final attempt to turn this thread back into some kind of topic.

Out.

NASCAR was pretty watchable in the old days as well:
