This is "just" a flexi race body and "just" a test. But I like the freaky psychedelic late '60s look.

That's a lot of taping patience.  :shok:

Reminds me of my misspent "yoot" in the '60's.  :smoking:

It would have required lots of taping patience if I did it absolutely perfect - but it's a disposable race car body, so I just slapped 'em down.

I laid strips of 3/4" wide Tamiya tape onto wax paper backed with cardboard and cut with a ruler and X-Acto.

Yep, those were the good ol' days, Joe, all you needed for a party was a guitar and amp, a poster, and a black light. :sun_bespectacled:

Been thinking about doing a pair of Patterson design sneakers like Steve's - the shoes would match the shirt. :dance3:

Another Patterson paint scheme; "parking lot job" rattle can lacquers on a 7 thou Parma NASCAR race body

Lookin' good, Pablo!

To properly reproduce the design, you need to precisely cut 36, 10º wedges out of your preferred masking material. Make each wedge 6" long. When you get that done, PM me, and I'll tell you what to do with the wedges. :D

Mike,

Didn't you do a body for Tom Thumb using this pattern/artwork?

Gregory Wells

Never forget that first place goes to the racer with the MOST laps, not the racer with the FASTEST lap

No, Steve Koepp did that. It's visible in a couple of the photos taken at his paint seminar.
