Looked at commercial buildings... too costly.
Next plan... expand my garage to 1,500 sq ft.
A four-lane Engleman sounds nice...

The question I have is, is this really meant to be a 1/32 track? Seems a bit big for that scale!

The track looks real nice.
It does really seem on the long side. IOW, guys real interested in winning, would buy a lot of motors.
I'm curious to see the deal with the wood sticking out.
I would guess it would be for wall attachment, but I wonder why the extra length. It seems like something to bump into, while working on the track.
It will interesting to see it finished.
PS: I've driven a 1/24 Carrera car with the PRS chassis. It was real nice.

You're right but it's from their website. Could be they found the first track too small. LOL.
In any case Barcelona must be the world capital for slot cars. Will be ther later this month, alas for only two days.

The eight-lane track could be the one that was replaced and it is still on the web site??
Posted 10 April 2017 - 02:56 PM
Wight-lane replaced by a longer six-lane under construction. The wood pieces are to supported an extended border runoff that will have Astroturf.

I hope the old track found a good home.
Cheers.

Thanks for the info.
When I looked a little closer, I saw that the ends were specifically notched to allow for something thicker, so I assumed it was was for some sort of different material/element, for the apron.
Kind of interesting, the traditional style, eight-lane, "Eurosport style" track, got replaced.

Yes and way before it was warped and decrepit unlike the US where we gladly pay to race on tracks that badly need maintenance. LOL.

Do people really like these long tracks (I suppose the Barcelona guys do)?
Especially for scale, or plastic cars, it seems like it would take about 10 seconds just to get down that straightaway.
That MTT track is nice though, but 155' (47 meters) is about my limit. Even King tracks are uninteresting to me for racing scale.
I mean, can you even see the car at the far end of that track? I know I couldn't.

The only problem I have with long tracks is the expensive floor space they take up.
Sight lines can become a problem, but at 220' the purple mile and the Engleman are great driving tracks.
That said I love a nice smaller hill-climb or paper clip.
Hay I just like to drive.
