The game has now changed...

Ralph Thorne Racing proudly presents 'The Renegade,' our newest and fastest 1/24 GTP body we are manufacturing in-house. Appropriately named, The Renegade breaks all of the rules. It's lower, wider, longer, and just flat-out faster. You will find it is loosely based on the 2017 Cadillac DPi-V.R prototype that you currently see competing in the IMSA racing series. It features a unique recessed body pin area and front wheel sticker location that makes the front wheels easy to align on both sides. This body truly blends a modern and realistic race car appearance with superior race-winning on track performance. It creates big time downforce without adding rear drag, allowing you to decrease your laps times and turn more laps, plain and simple. We were absolutely blown away during testing and we know you will be, too.

Once again this is an original copyrighted design from Ralph Thorne Racing with all rights reserved. We don't backpour or copy any other manufacturer's designs.

Compared to our Warrior body, the Renegade is a little longer, wider, and creates much more downforce.

They are available in .005" and .007" thick Lexan. Each body comes with a window mask and a pair of front wheel stickers. Please note that we start from .005" and .007" material, so it will be thinner on the sides. As always we strive for quality pulls with even side thickness. The new body also features a cut line to assist in body trimming.

Retail price is $6.95 each plus shipping, if ordered direct HERE. Raceway pricing is available and bodies are on the way to ERI now.

If you purchase five or more bodies direct at full retail, an extra body will be included with your order as a thank-you!

Please note the bodies will only come in retail packaging when purchased by a raceway or if specifically requested on direct orders.

The Renegade has been putting in some work recently. Most notably by picking up the win in the fierce GTP class at the recent FNRS race at Tri State Raceway.

Dave Gardiner also piloted the Renegade to back to back wins the last two weeks at Marks Model World in a field where 7 of 8 cars were RTR bodies.

Congrats to Bud Greene as well for picking up a win at The Dungeon in Alabama, also using a Renegade.

Down South Donny Caron has been a regular podium finisher contending for wins and had this to say, "Thank you this Renegade body you build is hands down the best body I have ever ran".

It was another big weekend for the Renegade, this time down in Florida at the FNRS race.

13 of the 16 cars in the field chose the Renegade as their body of choice.

The entire A-Main was made of Renegades.

Terry Tawney piloted his Renegade to a TQ.

Winner Jason Burnside and the top 3 overall finishers ran Renegades.

It also won the top three spots in concours with Teddy Hoots as your winner.

Congratulations to Jimmy Johnson and Don Gunn for using a RTR Renegade to win the GTP Enduro at the Slot Car Cave in SC. Six or the seven teams used RTR bodies.

I also want to give a shout-out to to Bud Bartos and Dan Halfhill for their winner and runner-up finishes at Haven Raceway and Hobbies using a RTR Renegade.

Ralph Middaugh won the race at Mark's Model World where every car used RTR bodies. Greg Fox picked up the win with a Renegade in the previous week there also.

For those of us who spend more time in contact with the walls, is there any chance you'll be making these in .010 any time soon?

I'm considering it, but I have no timeline as to when it might happen, if I do decide to offer .010".

Regardless, I bought some of the .07s that you're currently offering. Sharp-looking bodies that should perform well on the track. I'm hoping to give one its first tryout tomorrow evening.

If you decide to go with the .010, I think I know some folks who would be interested.

The photos don't do these bodies justice. They are very crisply molded and good looking.

That's thirty minutes away. I'll be there in ten.

Congrats to Eric Shirey for a dominating performance with his RTR Renegade body at last weekend's OCC race at Northeast Slotcar Raceway. Eric broke the track qualifying record, fast race lap record and the record for most laps turned in a race.

Jim Verga and Dan Ebert rounded out the podium, also using Renegades.

Also all 6 A-Main racer's used Renegades.

In Durham, North Carolina Nick Brantley and Russ Martin used Renegades to finish 1st and 2nd in the Flexi Showdown Race.

Chuck Gambo took the GTP win, at C/R, on Sunday, using the Renegade.

Chuck ran 3.778 - 3.944, across all 8 lanes, for the dominating 9 lap victory.

Chuck also ran fast lap on all 8 lanes.

The customers spoke, and we listened.

All of our bodies will now be offered in .010" lexan as well. Retail price is $7.95, they include window masks and front wheel stickers.

Full discounts to the distributor and raceway. ERI should have these in stock soon.

They up online now here http://ralphthornera...odies_c_27.html

Good move Ralph.

I honestly think the ultra thin bodies are bad for the hobby. Not saying they don't race well or anything like that but the durability and the feel when picking the car up are IMO bad for the hobby.

Thanks for listening, Ralph. I'm sure the serious racers like the .007s for the speed, but some of us need the extra thickness to ensure we can hit the wall now and then.

Ralph, is RTR only making GTP bodies, or are they also working on an F1's too?
