[Maximo]

Everyone,

 

I have a few either authentic or Repro classic early '60s RTR (ready-to-run)... right out of the fabulous packing!

 

This thread will showcase those cars, but by all means post yours here as well.

 

To begin, my Viper. All original except the body, which was produced by Victor at TrueScale. It was painted brilliantly by Jarius.

Okay everyone, here is the next one!

 

I finally found and bought an AMT Fantum 1, but the body was cracked and unappealing, so I got a new reproduction from Victor at TrueScale and Jairus trimmed and painted it beautifully!

Here's one for you David - a GarVic Coronado I believe... original body, but repainted by a very skilled friend.

The Viper is my favorite of the complete Classic line. (Still looking for another body.  )  This is one that was done for me by a guy awhile back (yellow Viper with driver.)  He put it on an Asp chassis,       I can get a shot of all of my Classic thingies if ya want?

This one was in my father-in-law's attic. Later issue car, but the box is the first series "Cuc" box with the wide edges.  It was sold off in the late '90s when I cashed out a lot of slot cars. I wonder where it is now???

I feel lucky to have an original Manta Ray (looks to have never been raced )in a pristine condition box with insert, controller, and Lotus 30 body still with a "bread tie" holding it down.

Years ago, another collector bought a case of new Manta Rays. Twelve of them in the case, I think! He sold them for $55 each and I bought three. I wish I had bought all he  was willing to sell!!!
