I'm going to build anglewinders batman HO chassis, like the one in the photo so I need spur and pinion gears. Does anybody know where to get them?

Back in the day, I used T-Jet gears. Rear gear plate gear on the axle, ended up with Tyco 7 tooth gear for motor. This was with rewinds. 12-tooth T-Jet hope gear on stock motors.

Is that "HO World" article written by Dale Flanigan?

Back in the days, he would come to our HO races with all his cars and stuff in a briefcase.

That is a later article when the column was written by Howard Kilgore. Dale had the column in earlier issues.

As for the spur gears, I also used the T-Jet brass gear with the smaller hole as a spur gear for angle or sidewinder HO builds. There are some nice 7 tooth brass pinions that came on the TCR can motors that mess well with the old T-Jet Idler gears. The nine tooth pinion from the 4-Gear/Specialty gear plate works well also and can give you some ratios to play with.
