Attention Members of the World of Slot Car Thingies!

Does anyone know who made this clear body, actually two versions of it, and where was it originally created?

I am posting the only photos that I have ever seen of what appear to be original versions. These were sold years ago by Roger Schmitt and it is unknown who bought them!

What is needed is better photos of the rear section of the body that has curved rear fenders, not the one with a spoiler built-in. That one has been reproduced by Victor Ferguson and also Ray Fellows.

Please someone respond with some data about this little creation and photos of the rear section.

Thanks greatly in advance.

All the versions of the "La Bostella" were made in France I believe. You could ask the guys over at FOLM... but two of them check in here, too.

Jairus,

These are NOT variations of the Bostella family. I think that you are not looking carefully at these bodies.

The body with the dual bubble cockpit used for the Gray is a Bostella variant, but this is probably a Chicago or Detroit created body!

Germany - it was Carrera's own Thingie! And I think a guy does repops, but not sure who. You might try contacting Ralph Klose, via a Google search, I think he has his own company of some kind, and he's pretty active. Unless somebody else has a good German contact.

It is not a La Bostella, gents!

The front end and cockpit are nothing like the Bostella.

Repops are made by Rudi Wennekamp in Germany, the original ones and a couple of similar ones with light changes, e.g. such as a coupe.

Some German makers like Kuznia (Monza) or Walter did a couple of thingies as well. I found a similar, but I believe, the two bodies are not from Germany.

World Thingie Empire members!

Gene ZR1 Adams has brilliantly reproduced the second version of what Victor Ferguson called the "Predator"! A still unknown product of someone somewhere.

A wonderful body for a soon project which I will call the "Invader"! Gene might have other ideas though.

PS: The Kingie is still absentee...

And a similar one is on its way to Gene right now, to see what he can make out of it!
