Effective 6/12/17,

The following chassis, pans, parts are FNRS approved and legal for future FNRS events, including the next race on August 12, 2017, at Ho-B Max in Durham, NC.

Mossetti #s 1008, 2002, 2003, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2012, 2013, 2022, 2024, 2025, 2026.

JK C26 PA.

Not approved or legal at this time is the Mossetti 1066 R & 1024 R, these are the "Limited Edition" red aluminum pans.

Effective immediately interiors in all classes must be a one-piece vacuum-formed molded Lexan interior. Taping a molded interior to a flat piece of Lexan or any other flat material will no longer be permitted in FNRS events.

A friendly reminder regarding turn marshaling. Events are to be marshaled by the entrants in the class being raced. All racers will have to turn marshal and there will be no exceptions except for physical or emergency reasons only. Substitute marshals will be permitted as long as it is approved by the officials in charge and the racers in the race. Marshals or their substitutes who miss or refuse their duties will be subjected to penalties or disqualification. Racers are expected to stand when performing marshaling duties, except in cases when marshals must kneel to avoid blocking the view of the driver’s panel. Standing marshals must also exercise care to not block the view of drivers, and may be asked to reposition by the drivers and/or race director.

The final 2017 FNRS race will be held at Fast Eddie's in Pinellas Park, FL, November 3-4, 2017. All official races will be run on the 4th.

FNRS RULE AMENDMENT 7/5/17

Current rules state:

The body must completely cover chassis and tires when looking directly down on the car at tech.

Amendment:

The body must completely cover chassis and tires when looking directly down on the car at tech except for the front chassis wings. This allows all current approved bodies to be used with all of the currently allowed chassis. The blade portion only of guide flag may extend past the front bumper/nose of body slightly. No braid, clips, or top of guide may be visible.

One thing I like about these bodies is they are actually a true 1/24th scale.

I believe the only gtp bodies that are truly 1/24th scale as well.

🙂

I've never heard of the Ralph Thorne/RTR "defender".

I am looking at something in stock that says "WARRIOR" on it. lol

I have to remember to take my tape measure with me when I walk over to Taco Grill for lunch.

I'll pop across the street to Ultimo Motorsports.   http://www.ultimomotorsports.com/

I think they have both 1/1 Warriors and Renegades on their lot.

I'll measure them and report back.

I started this thread to relay updates and FNRS rules admendments to those who aren't on Facebook.

I don't really want it to turn into a thread about people, bodies or bashing other ORG's.

With that said I want to give big thanks to those who support the FNRS and Ralph Thorne Racing.

Given the trend in GTP bodies that started back with the PSE Ultimate Intrepid, Riley & Scott, and Courage WSC bodies, it's not really fair to throw any particular manufacturer under the bus for a lack of scale representation in GTP. Hell, I give Ralph some credit for attempting to introduce SOME styling elements from the Cadillac DPI in the Renegade body. It's the first I've seen an attempt at that since O/S left the Mercedes grille on their Ultimate Mercedes.
