How many have and use this controller? Do you like it?

Thanks,

Dave...

Overall I really like my S&K, it seems to be smooth and very forgiving. It has much more adjustability and a touch better brakes than my Difalco. It took me a few races to get used to it as it has a longer trigger pull then I'm used to. If I'm racing on high speed King tracks I still prefer my Difalco due to the shorter trigger pull. When I'm on "driver's" tracks (anything other then a Gerding King) I always use my S&K. I typically run the 76 ohm chip.

Pros:

Comes with 10 network chips and is very adjustable
Nice low profile trigger with ball bearing
Voltmeter and choke are standard
Very smooth trigger pull across the board
Seems to require very little maintenance
Very good brakes

Cons

Requires installation of alligator clips when purchased new
Sensitivity, brake, and choke markings are all opposite to what we are used to here. Example, the  "minimum" marking on the brake knob actually means full brakes.
No cover over the fan blade on the box so be careful no to stick your fingers in there.
While the box is pretty compact it must stay close to the controller hook up spot because the wires that come out of it to hook the controller up are somewhat short IMO.

Hope this has helped you out.

Not trying to be a smart ***, but my question would have been did it improve your lap totals and times.

Being the it has a $500 price.

Les, personally I feel it helped my laps times slightly, anywhere from a few hundredths to half a tenth depending on the car and track. It definitely has helped me increase my lap totals though as it just seems more forgiving on corner entry and that's probably because it has a little better brakes than what I was used to. Just my personal opinion of course, others may not agree.

Who makes the S&K controllers? Until the first of the year, I never noticed them being mentioned.

I heard they weren't going to make yardsticks any longer.

John, I'm not looking for one. Not having a local commercial raceway in the area, I didn't know what they were. Their Facebook page Johnny provided has the general info I was looking for.

How do the brakes compare to a Third Eye?
