Great report, Noose.

Awesome race, congrat, Edvengers!!

Thanks to my Team Retro Rockers, Doug Griffith, Pat Skeggs, Chuck Schmerler, and Jimmy William Sr., for some great fast pit stops.

We made all the right decisions. just came up short a few laps. Great driving, guys! I always say a podium in Enduro is like a win. Lots of fun!

I am shocked. 1 lap between 1st and 2nd after 6 hours, while 3rd place is just 5 laps behind 2nd place. Congrats to all, and the winners.

Yea, the finish must have been wild! After six hours, it comes down to the last four seconds. Are you kidding me!

A one-lap gap between first and secnd after six hours of racing! :shok:  With pit stops under green and two mid race tech inspections. Wow!

That's got to be a "world record" for closest 1-2 finish in a six-hour Retro car enduro.

Basically it was a 5.3 second difference between first and second and about 35 seconds between first and third.

Great write-up, Noose. I think the fantastically close racing is yet another testament to the work we have done on reducing the variability of our motors, just like R4, etc., etc., etc.

We will look into the brush wear concerns.

I thought brush wear is what made the race so close. If you have a monster motor and it last the whole race you will win the race.If you have a dog and you have to change motors you can Never catch up. Now the chances of having 3 monsters motors in a row is not probable. More likely you will have one good one and two ok ones. Having to change motors makes it more exciting, there are more position changes . It also makes it the crew chiefs job more important, he must determine when to pull the motor and who will do it. If it was up to me I would leave the motors just the way are.
