I purchased some of this at Port Jeff. It is quite good and cost effective compared to others.

Cheers,

My dad will be sending the first order to ERI Distributing towards the end of this month :).

Most of the racers at Port Jeff at the RetroPalooza Event used our braid and had great feedback.

Thanks, Bill,

At this time we do not have exact prices regarding the quantities until the details are worked out with the distributor but the pricing should be comparable to the JK Braid. Our goal is to have a great quality product at a excellent price.  :)

All I've been using since Don & Jeff first introduced it to me when I was still in FL. Great stuff seems to be just as good as Parma braid.

If the price is very good, like half of Parma's price, I'll take a 100 pack if you carry it.

ERI Distributing should be getting the Braid today! if not than defiantly tomorrow.

Yes Braid will be about half of Parma's Braid retails at the tracks.

As for exact prices, I'll have to ask my dad :)

Thanks for posting.

Is there any particular reason why it's a little cheaper to buy 10 pr.($1.395 per pr) than 100 pr.($1.40 pr.)

And in between those 2 quantities, 50 pr. is 1.50 pr.?

IOW, why would anyone ever buy a 50 pr. pack for $75.00 when they could buy 5-10 pr. packs for $69.75?

Thanks, everyone.

Compared to the Parma braid? Not 100% sure but it is the same quality or better for approx. half the price, :)

Only 25-30% cheaper isn't even close to half the price. :scratch_one-s_head:

Isn't how it performs and lasts of equal to or greater importance than the price per pair? This discussion attempting to screw down the price to the exact cent per braid is relevant only the extent to which all braid is a commodity, indistinguishable by quality.

If one doesn't care about performance or longevity of service, please - by all means- seek out the cheapest braid available. If, on the other hand, how braid integrates into your racing system is important, one may be encouraged to test available products and use what works best. Value is a relative term and determined by individual needs. Braid, like tires, are your only points of contact with the track. They are also your only source of transmitting energy to your carefully chosen and painstakingly crafted motor with gearing discovered through time consuming trial and error. If one is ready to commit to only the cheapest available braid at this point one might ask if all that other effort is worthwhile.

As always, YMMV.

If one is ready to commit to only the cheapest available braid at this point one might ask if all that other effort is worthwhile.

Mark, I never said I was looking for the cheapest. If you knew me well enough, you wouldn't even question that. Maybe it's the best, maybe it isn't, I will buy some to judge for myself regardless the cost.

I quoted the OP, he said it was about half the price of Parma. He also responded that he would look into that.

Read the thread entirely, then feel free to shoot your mouth off/lecture me about performance!

Don't forget there are Distributor and Retail mark-ups that go into the final price.

From left to right
1. Parma .028"
2. Paw .026"
3. Prime .025"

So looking at your pic to me it seems that Prime (far right) is longer than the other two.

Thanks for the info, I never would have known this without you keen insight..

What I meant was the original price estimate might not not have taken this into account.

Actually I took the estimate straight from my dad LOL. He could have had a brain fart. I'll find out.

Whew, some of you guys need a hobby during the day... LOL.

The Paw Braid is great for a reasonable price. No issues here. I will be hitting Jeff up for my next order.

Why? The braid is longer and works better with the new Red Fox guides counting laps. Get to your local track and race before cabin fever sets in gents...

I bought a few hundred pair of prime braid years ago, I just ran out last month. I got a few pairs of PAW braid and the only difference is the PAW braid isn't soldered. That's the only thing I've noticed about it. Two thumbs up from me.
