Just like the Checkpoint in January, the Can-Am race at the Summer Western Classic this Saturday, July 22, will be a hand-out format. The same JK Hawk Retro 7R7Rs will be used and a maximum of three per racer will be allowed and once again the SCRRA will assist any racer with motor break-in and pinion installation.

Can-Am tech will begin at about 10 AM and will remain open for a reasonable time to accomodate motor break in. Can-Am is the only class using the hand-out Hawk motors.

See you there! :good:

Jason,

It has always been the 21-23. I don't know where you saw 28-30.

See you Saturday!  :)

That much time in pure Simple Green and you will not be able to make five laps. Maybe five seconds in pure stuff. 30 seconds or a bit more in 50/50 mix with water.

I did a test with mix 2 to 1 water to Simple Green, 3 volts for 2 min. Now that was too long as the brushes were half gone. So I'm going to dial it back to 20 sec.

With the full strength Simple Green, timing is too critical. A few seconds too much and you have no brushes. :(
