These appeared in a eBay score and I've never seen any cans like them. The sides that are normally curved are flat!
Anyone know anything about these cans, like who made them and when? And what kind of magnets were used in them?

They are various Koford Feathers and Feather IIs, circa approx. 1982-1985.
They used flat back cobalt magnets.

Thanks Mike.
Do you happen to have a set of these magnets laying around?

I have one NOS can that needs a home. No mags or endbell.
In those days did they not cut down Mura endbells or did Koford have a special one?

Larry,
The endbell looks like a cut-down Mura.
If I can't get hold of a pair of magnets I'll send you this collection so you can put them all in a box. At least they'll be with a new friend.

Koford had his own endbell when he came out with the Micro and then the Feathers.
IIRC, it was the first one to use a 5MM BB.

Sam, Buzz may have something that would fit, he is closed until September.
The thing is by the time you get the magnets and everything else worked out what are you going to do with it?
I have a Hex that I have wanted to fix and I never get around to it.
I have a 27 arm that will fit your find.

1980 period cobalt museum display. My can is new, no card or bag, black crinkle paint, round hole.

Thanks Nick. But these are going to another home. Like you, I already have enough motor projects. And I got two more "Green Cans" with the lot these came in. I'm sticking to building motors I have magnets for.

Mike, are you sure they are all cobalt set ups? I have 2 Koford Int.15s with the screws on the top and they have old Yellow Dots in them. I do remember purchasing them already built. It was before I started building my own motors, in 88-89 I believe. Kevin Taylor use to cut up his Int15s like that before the Int15 strap cans came out.

Fred,
These cans have flat sides.

Fred,
Yes, they are all cobalt.
As you said, Koford had Int.15 motors with flathead screws , on the top and bottom, with Yellow Dot mags.
They were called Feather 15's, but they had curved sides.
There never was such a thing as a flat back Int. motor.
PS-I saw you at the FNRS race yesterday.
Good for you, flashing a little bit of speed, against those young guys.

Mike, are you sure it was me you saw? My cars were OK it's just the driver who sucked.
Your right the cans do have flat backs and mine are curved. I didn't notice that at first. My bad.
