I built this car to honor my friend Martin Truex.
He also runs model power boats in the off season. As a matter of fact he holds several world records including the fastest two lap record for any class model power boat. Boat looks like it's on rails.
I tried to paint it like the car he drove Memorial day weekend. The chassis is one of my own designs with independent front wheel movement and floating body. Not the fastest of my cars but it looks good LOL.

Keep it in the slot,
AJ
Sorry about the nerf. "Sorry? Sorry? There's no apologizing in slot car racing!"
Besides, where would I even begin? I should probably start with my wife ...
"I don't often get very many "fast laps" but I very often get many laps quickly." ™
The only thing I know about slot cars is if I had a good time when I leave the building! I can count the times I didn't on one two three hands!

I have always had Chevys from my first 1956. Some Fords. I bought my wife a Town and Country van and I am scared to take off in it. Has left us stranded three times. Always a mechanical issue with it. Thinking about trading it for a Toyota. My mechanic says they are the most reliable.

Hey Mike the car looks good.
How do you know Martin?
I met him when we were both racing local short track at Wall Stadium. He was running in Modified at that time.

Martin and I Both race radio controlled model boats. During the off season from NASCAR he goes to record trials in Valdosta Ga. and Huntsville Al. He has some smoking fast model boats. He is a great guy, down to earth, willing to help anyone. Just a regular person like all the rest of us at these events. Check out IMPBA Records to see what he has accomplished.
