I'm sad to announce the passing of Dave Jones (Hermit #1) due to complications of diabetes. Dave was a racer in the mid 1960s in St. Louis, migrated to Wichita in the early 1970s and was part of the group that roamed the midwest, Oklahoma and Texas as Team COUGH.

He was also a track owner at one time in Wichita.

Dave will be greatly missed. No funeral is planned but a life celebration will be held sometime soon.

This is the unhappy reality for most of us. We are losing all our friends. Go with God, Dave.

Dave posted on here and OWH occasionally. I enjoyed reading his posts, which sometimes got quite technical. He will be missed.

Dave came through for me when I needed some otherwise unavailable parts at one point. RIP, Dave.

Richard, who were all the members of Team COUGH?

Team COUGH was myself, John Sutherland, Rex Widmer, Henry Tankersly, and Dave. A loose affiliation of traveling racers literally from the exact middle of nowhere, mostly Wichita, KS.

But, please, I'd like to see some memories of Dave here!
