Good video, great centre.

I like the "Sunset Racing Shells" wall display (2:01).

RIP, Bob Crawford.

Steve,

Have you visited the raceway?

And do the cars shown on track and in racer's boxes represent the popular types raced in your country?

I thought Sunset was out of business. I believe the owner/operator died a couple years ago.

The display is probably just a historical artifact, as I remember Sunset being gone as well.

Sam, unfortunately I haven't had the pleasure of visiting the raceway.

I say that it is a great centre because of the people, tracks, and events they run there.

Those cars are pretty typical for Thunderbird, and a few other tracks around Australia.

Flexi racing is probably the most popular in 1/24 commercial centres, with scale, Retro, Wing and drag racing mixed in.

There are a few 1/32 commercial raceways that are for scale cars.

Bob "Sunset" Crawford RIP, left us 12/12/12, after a battle with cancer.

Sunset Racing Shells (SRC) pretty much ceased business during 2012 when Bob was too ill to continue.

There were a few Aussies who wanted to buy the "Sunset" endeavour, but none (at the time) were in Adelaide where Bob wanted the business to remain.

Eventually SRC was resurected by the Thunderbird Slot Racing raceway (where that video was recorded), so that display is probably for bodies currently available.

Thanks for posting the link, Chris.

:)
