Well, first one in the door was Rowdy, along with his sane sidekick, Rodney Lefler, hot off of a couple wins at the last RMRRA race.
Rowdy quickly showed off this awesome-looking Stocker he built using my F1 chassis parts.

Earlier tonight, I ran one of Rowdy's other Stockers, of similar design.
Despite the track not being cleaned and reglued yet, I was really surprised how well the car handled.
It was really a blast to drive. I turned numerous 5.1s, with a best of 5.120.
My WAG, TQ in the race, Saturday night, will be a mid 4.8.

It had been cleaned pretty recently, so cleaning it today, with it not super-rubbered up, was like a paid vacation.
Like in past Sanos, it won't be cleaned again.
Possibly, later in the event, most likely, after racing Saturday night, I may clean the braid in the bank.
The track has been running well, blue got some well-needed braid in the deadman, so I hoping the Can-Am track record will fall.
I don't remember who has it, but IIRC, it is 4.289.

It will be the first year with the new Red Fox guide, so it should be interesting.
The "Attn: Howie" packages are already here.
According to Rowdy, How is on the way from Madison.
I just hope he doesn't try to hard wire his Third Eye to blue, like last year.

It looks like a couple of our Can-Am A Mainers from last year, Paul Pfeiffer and Jerry Galloway, are serious about a return appearance.
They wandered in right after three-time Sano attendee, Diana Dyckman (A Main-F1, both King and Flat, last Summer's Western Classic at BP), came in.

Howie did make it in right after my last post.
I purposely sprayed the track on the real tight side.
Paul Pfeiffer, about 145 laps in, turned a 4.46 on blue, with his Can-Am.
Jerry ran a nice 4.58 with a Coupe, on yellow, probaby only 50 laps in.

After a couple of speedy GTP and Group F (wing) races, with multiple record heats, and lap times for particular lanes, Howie went out on blue and also turned a 4.37 to match Paul, in about 10 laps, with a GVP car.

Howie ran 3-4.376s, and seemed stuck there as we were ready to wrap it up for the night.
I talked into one more run and as I read the times off, I could hear the car coming off the lead on, much quieter, and he put down about five laps in a row, in the low 4.37s, 4.36s, and the 4.358 shown.
I'd say this has been the soonest we've been this fast.
And it was with a 7R motor.
