A shame as I thought NBC did a very good job with an excellent broadcast crew. ESPN has totally ignored auto racing for years. Money talks!

ESPN has been trying to obtain the broadcast rights to F1 for about ten years. With NBC dropping out (per the article) ESPN was able to obtain partial broadcast rights.

If the 'show' is not on a broadcast TV, the series does not exist anyway. Fxxx cable TV.
May we have hope that replay or taped delay race could make it to the airwaves.

I'm finding that more and more the networks don't want anybody calling the races that doesn't talk thru their nose or have a high pitched voice!

I watch for the races and the action, not particularly enamored by the announcers, except for David Hobbs.I will miss him.
Matchette is too verbose and Diffy is a twit. Will Buxton took some getting used to, but his pre-grid interviews were good!
Thankfully I will be able to stream ESPN2 thru HULU, so nothing's lost!
