In recent years my slotcar focus has moved around scales and racing and building and settled on scratch building 1/32 scale slotcars.

Due to that focus I have become a resin head...I am now making resin bodies, vac forming screens/windows and interior trays and resin wheel inserts.

Recently a nice chap from Canada sent me some master sets and I have been able to use these to mould and cast what you see here.

Sets are available to order, shipping for one insert or 100 inserts in eleven dollars US.

Thanks for looking

John

John- Looking at the sizes I assume there are none to fit 1/24th, correct? Nice detail on those you have shown!  :)  :good:

Hello Gary, my sense of scale is only slightly accurate in 1/32 where inserts are about .450" plus or minus.

I understood these were of a suitable size for use in 1/24 rims....or am I missing something.

I would think that would all depend on the ID of the rim you were trying to fill.  The ones with the knock-offs look good.  Nice job!

I see a price for the shipping, but not for the inserts themselves.

.620 O.D. would be perfect for 1/24th scale Pro-Track wheels. Don't know what the .525 O.D. might fit.

Thanks James, I wasnt sure on pricing but have settled on $US5.00 per set.

I call a set five inserts as there is always one that gets dropped and rolls away.

Thanks, John.  $5 seems very reasonable.  It's the shipping that's a killer for small orders.

I was thinking like Dave, that the 0.620" would work for Protrack 5/8" wheels, which our local club series uses.  I will have to check with the other guys in the group to see if they want to put together an order to get the average postage cost down.  :D

Also would complete the look for those cars with a spare tire.

Some vintage Monogram wire wheel inserts came across my bench and stayed just long enough to take a silicone bath before flying back to the UK.

The knock offs are just pushed on for the pictures and would need proper fittng for use on a car.

John, as  Martin says, your links in your first post, made last Oct., no longer open. I think they once worked, but when I looked at them a couple days ago, they weren't working. They still aren't.
