Thanks Steve.
Who made it?

Parma. I always called it (K) a wiggle Womp or mighty Womp. The only two 1/32 anglewinder steel (K&D) frames that Parma has made. The first one was also made in brass as their current I-32 is. The three locating pins had a stress breakage issue, but remove the pan and cut them up and make them into what you need just like the Womp and FCRs. The (K) Super Womp was new in the 1980(?) era and the Flexi Womp (D) came out in the 1990s along with the I-32. Steve at Parma should have exact info.

Wiggle Womp sounds like a more fitting name than Super Womp.
1980s - Parma, Super Womp,
1990s - Parma, Flexi Womp.
Thanks, chaps.

Steve, The top one is called a Parma "Flexi-Hinge" it was the predecessor to the "Flexi-Womp" and they both used part # 576. Timeframe - 1990-91

Wow, so many names for chassis most have never heard of and then disappeared ... like those photobucket pictures. LoL

Hey Jim, how come we can't see your images??

I can see the pics OK.
The issue is Photobucket wanting money to host 3rd party images.
Naturally one of our many friends out there provides a fix.
The fix for Chrome is to add an extension, I don't know about other browsers.
Go to settings-more tools-extensions-get more extensions-"photobucket hotlink fix".
I guess if this continues to be an irritant I'll look for another pic host.

Jim and Pekka,
I wonder how long before PB side steps the extensions?!?

Gentlemen,
I recently came into the possesion of a Flexi-Womp and am wondering which Lexan bodies will fit it with those extended front forks on the sidepans.
Any tips where I could look for a fitting body ? Preferably GT/LMP styled ? I guess the Kremer but it doesn't look very realistic.
Would these fit

I don't know why those bodies wouldn't fit. A Womp chassis is just a shade under 2 1/2" wide and has a 3" wheelbase, so if your Flexi Womp chassis shares those dimensions, those bodies should work fine. You could also try some JK 1/32 scale bodies, made for their 1/32 scale Cheetah 11. I don't know for sure what the wheelbase of those is though.

Just to amend my last post-
I've just picked up one of these Flexi Womp chassis, and while the wheelbase is the same as a standard Womp, the distance from the rear axle to the guide tongue is 1/2" longer, so most standard Womp bodies will not fit unless you cut out the bottom of the front to clear the guide flag. I have not had a chance to try any of the JK bodies yet, but I would be they're probably your best bet for a current production body. I'm using some NOS wedge/wing car type bodies from Ebay on mine. Something designed for a Parma International 32 would probably also fit, though the International 32 has a slightly longer wheelbase but slightly shorter rear axle to guide tongue measurement.

That's Womp Body not bidy and I did find someone selling repop Testarossa bodies on E-Bay, but at $8.00 each and $10.00 shipping they are a bit over my budget

Here's a few pictures, one of the body I put on my Flexi Womp, and a couple of it with a NOS Parma Kremer body that I haven't fully cut out yet.
The Kremer body will fit if you trim the front a little to clear the flag, since it sticks out past the front edge of the body. It does have the fender flares to accommodate the normal wider Womp wheel setup. But, the wheels will be completely covered, which could be kind of an interesting setup. I don't know how it would handle and how it would affect the aerodynamics, but that's how it fits, for what it's worth.

This chassis has an alternate set of front axle holes for using 1/2" front wheels with no or shorter back hub bosses. Using those, the front wheels should position in the front pan cutouts and pull the front width down to 2.5" which fits in the standard 1/32 scale body. As I recall, the guide to rear axle length on this chassis is about the same as the Eurotoy, but shorter than the JK Cheetah 1/32 chassis.
