Something weird at OWH
I was assured there were no worms, moles, or malware on the site so I hit ignore and logged on.

That must really be scaring off people.
Since Fast Freddie responded to a post of mine, where I answered a question of his, there hasn't been a new post, in 127 hours.

And I can't get into it as you are doing, Sam. If I "OK" the first warning and then try to get into a thread, the red screen o' death recurs. Too much trouble to push forward if everything I click on pops up the warning.

The red screen must be an Apple thing.
I intend to live forever! So far, so good.

I've gotten it on Firefox.
I finally hit allow, and it was OK, for a week or so.
Today when I went on, the warning was back up.
I've never gotten it on my phone.

I just tried to log in using my antiquated equipment, and was unable to. I could enter my name and password, hit return, and nothing would happen. Except the Apple "red screen", of course. Which, I might add, I have never seen until this evening.

Still the red screen for me using latest MacOS and Safari and it has been that way for several weeks, even before the recent MacOS upgrade. Some strange stuff going on there...

Well, I just tried Firefox again and now both the main OWH portal and Slot Car Talk pages show as defective, when yesterday Slot Car Talk did not.

Well, I wouldn't want you to miss out on anything, Phil.
Here's the warning screen using Safari on MacOS High Sierra:
And here's the warning screen using Firefox on the same OS:
There are some clues here. The Firefox screen says it is generated by Google Safe Browsing and is based on my "security preferences."
The Safari screen doesn't reference Google or security preferences and the simpler wording suggests an Apple-generated warning to me.

From Paul K (mom of OWH) via Facebook
OWH / Slot Car Talk
Malware Warning / Blocked Page Issue
Announcement
To OWH / Slot Car Talk readers:
Recently many OWH & Slot Car Talk visitors are reporting to be seeing a blocked page with a warning notice when visiting The Old Weird Herald and/or Slot Car Talk web sites.
This has been reported by many readers using various combinations of browsers, operating systems, and anti-virus programs... while others have not been blocked or had the warning page displayed.
I am working with tech support to resolve the issue, and hope to have it fixed as soon as possible. The server has been scanned for any malware or viruses, the software is being checked and reinstalled, and request have been submitted to the internet powers-that-be to remove the site from being blocked and displaying the warning page.
Many readers have simply clicked on the link to ignore and bypass the warning, and proceed and to the forums with no problems with no problems reported.
Please bear with me while we work on resolving any issues and getting this blocked page warning removed.
THANK YOU!
