The Sunday points season has begun in Earnest with 8 GT1 racers (4 Pros, 4 Advanced) making their appearance on the Hillclimb.

The Advanced race was a particularly tight affair, coming down to panels with Jeffrey Henes and Aj Mccall both finishing with 184 laps, Jeffrey finishing on Panel 19 to Aj's Panel 4. Dan Halfhill Halfhill put in a solid run with a shop car at 182 and Al Rogers wrapped up with 173.

Pro was a very quick race with Jeff Henes posting a fast 194 laps over Jim Bandes who ran a solid 188 laps. Bob Kurkowski joimed in this week and turned a solid 186 laps over Jay Sabala's 178 laps.

Unfortunately, Aj McCall had to leave early, leaving only three participants for Can Am and so Al Rogers, Jay Sabala, and Dan Halfhill were awarded appearance points.

This week brings a LOT of racing with GTP/F1 on Wednesday, GT1/Can Am on Sunday, and in between them the Ohio Challenge Cup's trip to Bellevue. See you at the races!

Another Sunday rolls past during the Fall Points Season at Haven and we got to enjoy eight GT1 and four Can Am entries on a crisp October day.

GT1 Advanced was a fraught battle with Jeffrey Henes turning a strong 188 lap performance for the win. The closest race was for second with Al Rogers pipping Larry Kowicki at the end by one panel on the coast. Dan Halfhill looked strong early but a struggling motor (unwound comm wrap) meant Dan would finish with only 175 laps.

GT1 Pro looked to be a tense race early on but a bad hit in the bank took George Katzakis out of the running after only two heats. Jeff Henes raced on to a commanding 194 lap win over Jim Bandes who turned a solid 184 with Bob Kurkowski coming in at a fine third with 178 laps.

Can Am was another fight to the end with George Katzakis making up for his GT1 misfortune to turn 269 laps for the win over a fast Larry Kowicki's 267. Dan Halfhill put in a good turn with his Can Am to run 260 laps, and Al Rogers continues to improve with a 244 lap total.

GTP and F1 continue on Wednesday as we move on into November. See you at the races!

With six GT1 racers and four in Can Am, it was a fantastic day for racing during the Fall Sunday season.

In Advanced, Dan Halfhill put together an outstanding run with 189 laps. We welcomed back John Halfhill who beat out Joe Gerenscer for second by five panels, both running 160 laps to Haley Halfhill's 158 in fourth.

Between the two Pros, Bud Bartos had a strong run to 192 laps while Jim Bandes was bitten by bad luck as his motor let go leaving him with only 143 laps.

In Can Am, Bud Bartos doubled up on the day with an awesome 280 lap win. Dan Halfhill continued his consistency with a 256 lap total in second. Joe Gerenscer borrowed Dad's Can Am to turn 231 laps and has been convinced not to leave his Can Ams at home in the future while John Halfhill ran a car borrowed out of Justin's box to run 216 laps in his first ever Can Am start.

There's still plenty of racing left to go in the Fall Season. See you at the races!

For Sunday, ten GT1 racers braved the forst smowfall of the season to put on a show on the Haven Hillclimb, broken down into two Division 1 racers, four Advanced, and four Pros.

In the Division 1 group, Al Rogers ran an impressive 177 lap total over the returning Tony Halfhill's 152.

Among the Advanced, Jeffrey Henes came up with a two lap lead over Dad, 178 to 176, with Gary Sutorius third at 174 and the return of Jeremy Halfhill coming home with 164.

The Pro race turned into a fight between Bud Bartos and Jeff Henes. Bartos came out on top with 195 to Jeff's 190 while Ron Vincek managed a strong 180 lap run. Jim Bandes struggled through guide flag maladies to wind up with 151.

Racing will continue with a non-points race for GTP on Wednesday and regular racing for GT1 and Can Am on Sunday. See you then!

Sunday saw one of the biggest days of weekly racing at Haven we can recall with EIGHTEEN GT1's (four Juniors, three Division 1, six Advanced, and five Pros) and four Can Ams on a bright November afternoon.

The Juniors started things off with new racing family the Goins facing off against Anthony "Duder" Halfhill, the youngest of Haven's Racing Halfhill family. While Peyton Goins led the bulk of the race, in the last heat, it was Trace Goins picking up a win in his first event with a total of 117 laps. Peyton settled for second with 114 laps. Last minute entry Kaylie Goins wound up with 102 laps after having been talked into racing with her younger siblings, and Duder Halfhill found his way to a very strong but still in need of practice 79 laps.

For the Division 1 group, HO Bob Skrjanic put on a steady show with his Mad Mexican ride and came home with 167 laps. Tony Halfhill was knocking the rust off after a long morning of working out car bugs and finished with 142 laps, and Scott Goins used Trace's car from the Junior's round to try out GT1 racing and managed a good 135 plus some added track time for his continued GTP effort.

The Advanced group was a very close race top to bottom, with Jeffrey Henes and Larry Kowicki in lock step to the very end, Jeffrey beating Larry by only two panels, both at 183 laps! Dad managed a good third place with 179 over Gary Sutorius's 174. John Halfhill was feeling out a fresh car rebuild and ran to 170 laps over Jeremy Halfhill's 165.

For the Pros, it was a three way race at the front with Bud Bartos scrambling for a big total at 195 laps over Jeff Henes's 192. Visitor Greg Fox took to the Hillclimb well and came away with 190 laps, while Jim Bandes finally shook free the gremlins and finished with 182 laps. Unfortunately, said gremlins decided to bite Ron Vincek who went out early with a broken lead wire and only 107 laps.

Can Am had three of the best and one field filler as Bud Bartos, Greg Fox, and Steve Koepp waged a great battle heat after heat. When all was said and done, Bud came away with 284 laps and two wins on the day over Greg Fox's 277 and Steve's 273. A bent axle after a rider meant that Justin was out at the 6th heat with only 214. A great warm-up for all with the Penn-Ohio's annual visit just around the corner.

This Wednesday GTP is back to points racing at 7:00pm. See you at the races!

Sunday was a sunny day for racing with 8 GT1 and 3 Can Am, with the Can Am division wrapping up its Fall Points Season and Haven celebrating a very happy 15th birthday to our friend and helper Haley Halfhill!

But first, GT1 was on the card with four Advanced and four Pro racers on hand. Dan Halfhill took a borrowed machine on a tear in Advanced and finished up with a win and a 192 lap finish over Larry Kowicki's 188 lap total. Dad pulled down a good 179 lap run for third while John Halfhill had his day ended by a broken lead wire keeping him to only 141 laps.

Among the four Pros, Jeff Henes knocked down 194 laps for a big win over George Katzakis with 186. Jim Bandes managed a win by panels over Ron Vincek, both at 183. An impressive come back drive for Ron as well who dealt with body damage early on.

Can Am was a big fight that came down to one panel! George Katzakis got just that last bit of distance over Larry Kowicki to claim the win, both having 268 lap runs while Dan Halfhill finished with 255 laps, and that third place was enough for him to claim the Can Am Points Championship by 1 point over Bud Bartos!

It's a big month of racing left to go at Haven with GTP and GT1 Champions still to crown and the Penn-Ohio series visiting this coming Saturday, December 9th! See you at the races!

Sunday's GT1 racing had ten racers (3 Division 1, 4 Advanced, and 3 Pros) for a fun day's racing after the Penn-Ohio's Can Am, F1, and Stocker divisions laid down a ton of rubber on Saturday.

In Division 1, the story was Alex Ables who had just purchased his ex-Dennis Matovich ride that morning. Formerly a drag racer, Alex turned in a solid 146 lap run to win over his dad Mike Ables who was borrowing a car out of Justin's box while his new ride is under construction. Also making a return was Jim Tubbesing who shook the rust off with a 144 lap run.

The Advanced group had a strong race with all positions trading hands heat after heat. At the end, Dan Halfhill stood on top of the pile with 186 laps over Jeffrey Henes's 176. Gary Sutorius was right on his heels with 175 and Mike Lear made his return with 173 laps.

The Pro race was a story of misfortunes as Jim Bandes ran into terminal issues after only 16 laps! This left the fight between Ron Vincek and Jeff Henes. After 7 heats and a torrid pace, the two racers laughed and said "That's enough", giving Jeff the win with a 7 heat total of 170 laps to Ron's 151.

GTP will be running on Wednesday night and we look forward with anticipation to the Ohio Challenge Cup's trip East to NESCR in North East, PA. Sunday will be a non-points day to give everyone a chance to recharge after travelling. See you at the races!
