Hello,

I came across a lot of bodies on ebay, Germany.

I'm not sure, who produced them back in the 70's. Some may be piccomat bodies (Cologne, Germany).

I don't know, if they are "thingies", or if they were mde after real existing racecar.

So I would be very happy, if you can help me.

The first three are speed blobs (AKA wing-car bodies) and if they are inspired by any real car, the first would have been from a Lola T292, the second from a Shadow DN4, the third looks vaguely like a Lola 600 series, the fourth like the Steed-Lola Can Am. That is, with a lot of imagination.

The first two F1s are a March 701 and a McLaren M7, the next ones anything you want them to be.

If they are Piccomat, it only means that their standards truly fell off the cliff after 1969... :(

Thank you very much for your help.

Maybe I'll paint some of them, I still have a few American line and Monza chassis left.

The one in the original box is callec Lola Santana (engraved in the lexan), I will keep the unpainted body in my collection. I think they are quite rare today.

The first three are speed blobs.

Why are Wing Cars treated as such a bad thing here while Thingies seem to be respected?

The two F1's (McLaren M7C right) might be Betta from UK or maybe Titan  ???

Hallo Walter,

schön, dass ein Kollege aus Deutschland sich für diese Dinge interessiert. Wir können gerne mal Kontakt aufnehmen....

Schöne Grüße

Dieter

Hi Walter, nice to see that there are other guys around Germany interested in old stuff. Let's get into conversation...
