This year's D3 Hardbody Nats at Buena Park Raceway had several new milestones.
A first ever 4 time Concours winner (out of 5 races!).
A first time podium with 3 cars using the same type of unusual chassis.
A first time GTP race winner using an unusual chassis.
A Nats new record for most laps in one heat (35).

All in all, a very interesting Hardbody Nats this year. With a drag racing event and birthday party going on at the same on Saturday, it was a bit busy and noisy.
Several of our regular hardbody racers were unable to participate this year. Hope they can do so in next year's Nats. Next year's Nats will be held on our regular race day in October as well as the day before, Oct. 20-21, 2018.

The 5 race format worked very well with Sunday being a much relaxed atmosphere and no need to rush with only two races.
Although we had 13 entries in the GTP race, we decided to forego qualifying. It worked out fine. We will not use qualifying in future Nats regardless of entry levels.

Thanks to Debby and Jim Watterson (and Eddie) for their support of D3 Hardbody Racing at BPR.
Thanks to our race directors, Victor Dubrowsky, Hector Gonzalez, Jim Watterson, Keith Tanaka, Jim Lane.
A big thank you to Dale Yamashita, Ken Dylke and Keith Tanaka for donating model car kits for a raffle.
Also, thanks to Carlos Peniche for providing chicken wings for lunch.
