My neighbor said he saw an advertisement for Mythbusters or Urban Mythbusters about slotcars, Anyone have any info?

If it's the one I'm thinking about it was if CRC would help improve traction  on slot cars. They tried it on rubber type tyres and not the foam ones we used and called it busted.

Shows how idiotic scientists can be. Physical properties don't necessarily scale down. A 1/24th scale car would have

made more sense. My experiences in aerospace have convinced me that they tend to overlook the obvious. Do you

suppose the magnet might effect the data?

use to race the AFX cars when I first started out when I was about 13. I can't ever remember replacing tyres because they were worn out. Use to use different height ones to get more (or less) grip.  The magnets give about 80% of those type of cars (G plus) the grip.  I use to use CRC/WD40 to clean my tyres on 1/24 cars. Works really good but ran out and haven't been bothered buying another can. Just use tape now.
