The 2018 CPC CanAm race had forty-six entries and a total of seven mains. The "A" main was won by Duran Trujillo, second place was Alex Freund and third place was Sam Rackham. John Cukras qualified fifth fastest but, the chassis was broken when he was racing on purple lane and finished in 8th place in the "A" main.

In the Checkpoint Can Am action today at BPR, Duran Trujillo ran to victory with a new track record of 354 laps in a real barnburner with Alex Freund 2nd and TQ Sam Rackham 3rd and all separated by about a lap!  Awesome race with Howie Ursaner 4th and Bryan Warmack 5th!

Alex Freund was the winner of last night's Retro Pro race.

Congrats to all.

Just more proof this style of motor is the one to race.

It was a VERY fun weekend! And the hand out Can Am race really proved that it is a GREAT way to race!! The racers are ready and know what needs to be done to break in motors. And limiting everyone to three motors really ensured no one was stuck with a dog and everyone had a chance to get a good usable race motor.  It also saved racers money and kept those with super DEEP pockets from trying to buy a magic bullet with 10 or 20 motors!! IT's the MOST FAIR WAY to race!! And looking at the qualifying times once everything is published we can see that the hand out Can AM day had even faster qualifying than the F-1 day which did NOT require hand outs!! Take anything you had saved in your box and run it!! Many, ran the hand outs from the day before because they were just fine!! Really great race ---Thanks to Bryan, Cukras and all the crew at BPR raceway!!   Good fun!!

In the final race of this years Parma Checkpoint Cup, Duran Trujillo continued his winning ways with a comfortable victory in F1 today. The final podium spots were up for grabs between Sam Rackham, Ben Cervantes Jr, Jim Lange and Howie Ursaner with Ben Jr finally running down Howie in the final heat for 2nd and Howie coming home 3rd!  Jim Lange 4th and Sam Rackham 5th.

A great Checkpoint weekend and all race reports with all pics up shortly!................

It was a Great CPC for sure. Wished my motor wouldn't of gone soft in the A main. If it would ran the way it did in the B main, I could of been somebody. Lol. Great times with Great friends. At the end of the day that's all that matters.

While I didn't play on the King track Sat., I was there for morning practice and qualifying. These handout motors that were used seemed pretty damn equal to my eye. A couple cars may have been "slower" due to not having the right set-up, but, the motors the driver's put in their cars sure seem to work. Other than the guys who hit the 3's, most everyone was very close. Just a flat track guys opinion. Great week-end of racing.
