Or maybe they should post it on here to get the word out. Im all for wing racing as long as its Group F restricted motors etc, they are a blast, cheap and kids can run them. As far as spending big money on a group 12 to win a trophy? I don't want any part of that. Hopefully the series will include our home track in Avon Park, ya need something besides hillclimbs to run on.

If you want to go faster than GpF I would recommend the PS-FK 12, $50 or so retail w/can BB... Awesome bang for the buck :good:

We can build group F wing cars for about 65 bucks total with a hawk 7 motor, they can turn laps of 3.6 to 4.1 on a 200 ft engleman. That's affordable racing

Sorry I haven't posted here sooner but things have been a little crazy in my life lately. First of all yes we will start a wing car series and the kickoff race will be in Melbourne on Jan 27th. Doors open at 10AM tech starts at 11am. We will keep the current rules for the first series to get as many involved as possible and then move toward the national rules in the future.

The current rules are

Group F

Any wing car chassis.

Hawk 7 or Hawk 6 motor.

63 gr. min. weight.

Group 12 Lite

Any wing car chassis.

Hawk 6 motor with Proslot or Koford Gr 12 replacement arm.

No Min. weight.

Group 12

Any wing car chassis axle bearings allowed.

Full c can motor with shunts, and full bearings.

No min. weight.

I would like to have all involved to stick around after the race in January to go over any concerns and also to help schedule future races.

Any questions please feel free to call me.

321-948-8347

Thank You

Jeff Cox

The schedule will be decided after the race in Melbourne on Jan 27th That's why Id like everyone to stick around for a meeting afterwards, personally I'm pushing for Avon Park to hold the second race to help get some more of those guys involved.

I certainly hope that you are in Melbourne on Jan 27th since you are making the most noise about getting a series going.

We are going to be pretty lax on the rules the first go round but will move toward the national rules after that where bearings are not allowed in group F.

For Group 12, all length magnets are allowed, or full length and size magnets only?

Jeff & the wing car community,

I raced the Oct. 21, 2017 race at Melbourne. Not going to be able to make this weekends race (home w/ the Flu). I am a regular racer at Fast Eddies in St. Petersburg.

My thoughts on some of the rules for the 2018 FWCS:

Body: Any wing car body - driver & 3 numbers on the body

Tires: JK Plastic rims - 3/32" x  .765 dia. min.

Gr. 12 Lite.                               No weight limit

Chassis: Any Gr. 12 / I - 15

Motors: Any mini cans (Hawk 6t / Proslot) with Gr. 12 replacement arm. - may have can bearing - No shunts - 64P Gears

Body: Any wing car body - driver & 3 numbers on the body

Tires: Fish Rubber only - My be treated 3/32" x .765 dia. min.

Gr. 12                                      No weight limit

Chassis: Any wing car chassis

Motors: Any "C" can motor Koford/Proslot/Cahoza/Diamond Head w/ plastic end bell - .513 dia. min. armatures

May have bearings and be shunted - 64P & 72P gears

Body: Any wing car body - Driver & 3 numbers on the body

Tires: Any 3/32" x .760 dia. min tires - $ 13.00 dollars max

Just like to get my thoughts out there

Mike Wilson
