P-1 Raceway has been running a JK Indy car class, once or twice a month, for almost two years. The rules have been the same as the FSCS JK Indy class rules.

However, since the FSCS won't be running the JK Indy class next year, Marcus, the P-1 Raceway owner, is considering running a different body on the JK Indy chassis. He would also drop the current gearing restriction (which is 10t, 37t only).

The chassis we're using is the wide version (the pans are about the same width as the rear tires).

If anyone has tried various bodies on this chassis, we would be interested in hearing the results, good or bad.

I know The Viper Pit, in Thomasville GA, runs various bodies on it.

Recently, Marcus tried a Can-Am body and said it worked well.

I wonder if a pickup truck body would work OK, but a spoiler might need to be added in order to get more downforce.

The body needs to be a type that works OK when the front wheel wells are cut out.

Although the Indy body looks good, there are a few reasons to move away from it, including:
1) the lack of space for the guide wires, which tends to make the front of the body get pushed up when the guide turns.
2) the wings tend to get all funky and warped.
3) cutting and mounting the body is tedious compared to more conventional bodies.

As far as the lead wires, you can make them more compact / narrower in the front, by going to loops,( if the rules makers will allow it ).

Why not replace the indy with GTP, any flexi, retro hawk motor.  Guys could slap a GTP body on their NASCAR and run before the GT-1 RTR or vice versa.  This way can use the GTP bodies from the enduro cars too.  Outisight GTP bodies too.  GTP RH, NASCAR RH, GT-1 RTR H7, Enduro PS-FK, DTM H7

You can use the Caveman Bodeez 1/24 Paper Modified. This is on JK Chassis 208172W, the wide Indy chassis. They are running this combination at Dallas Slot Cars and Fast Eddies world of Speed. The bodies are available through ERI Distributing or we can drop ship directly to the store with ERI approval. For more information, send us an email to cavemanbodeez@gmail.com

Hey Brian. That's about a dozen free plugs you've posted now. How about splurging for an ad here and support the blog that supports the sport?  http://slotblog.net/...er-information/
