Hear Ye! Hear Ye!
Be it known to all interested parties that the Texas Retro Racing Association(TRRA) is joining forces with Ron Hershman's RETRO organization! The TRRA will sponsor a 6-race series at Dallas Slot Cars, one race each month from January to June. The races will be conducted using RETRO rules. Usual classes... F-1, Can-Am and Anglewinder("Retro Pro"). There will be one drop... top 5 finishes will be used in determining final series standings. Additionally, a 3-point bonus will be awarded to all racers who compete in all 6 races. All races will be on a Saturday... race dates as follows:
January 27th
February 24th
March 24th
April 28th
May 26th
June 23rd
Box plaques will be awarded at each race to the top 3 finishers in each class. Wooden wall plaques will be awarded to the top 3 in points for each class at the end of the series. One series participation box plaque will be given to any and all racers.
Straighten up those chassis'! Grease up them gears! Gonna be a whole lotta FUN!

That's great... Not that far of a drive for me from Yukon, OK.. Just getting back to building chassis thanks to lots of advice and examples from Jim Fowler.
This is the first chassis I have built in 10 years or more..
Just running on my garage track right now.
BTW Richard, I think I raced with you back in 70-72 time frame at Broadway Hobbies. Raced most every weekend for a year or more until we moved to OK in 73.

Hmmmm.... name almost sounds familiar. Did you also race with Richard Gibson("Iron Man") at Tom Ugron's place in Pasadena?

I'm too lazy to do anything above and beyond what I've already laid out.
Sorry to hear you won't make the race... look forward to seeing you in February.

I've had no track time since May but have built up my fleet a little.
May need someone to remind me how to hook up the controller!
